A match-up between two top-10 teams is what awaits the Chaps this week.
 
Coach Tolis Koskinaris's Chaparrals moved up one spot in this week's NJCAA Division III poll to No. 6. A 1-3 week against D1 schools on their trip to Blinn (Texas) College showed the respect the national voters have for the Chaps, who are now 14-7 overall.
 
"Texas has some very good volleyball teams,'' said Koskinaris, whose Chaps are at No. 1 Rock Valley (15-5 overall) on Tuesday. "We faced some unbelievable teams and hope that experience will allow us to improve as we face the final third of our regular season, starting tomorrow night.''
 
The Chaps rebounded with a tourney-ending 3-0 victory over Dallas Eastfield, after dropping a 3-0 match Saturday to No. 3 (Division I) Blinn.
 
There are four Region 4 schools in this week's top 10 poll. No. 3 Harper and No. 9 Joliet join the Chaps and Rock Valley.

The Chaps conclude their week Thursday at Milwaukee Area TC.
