The Chaparrals' women's tennis program, under the direction of head coach Jim Bowers, is competing in limited form this fall, after competing in two events.
 
Freshmen Emily Smith, Litzy Reyes and Lily Bone are the three Chaps who comprise the team.
 
Against McHenry College on Sept. 23, Smith won her match 8-6. Reyes lost her match 8-0. The two played doubles and were defeated 8-0.
 
This past Tuesday, Smith earned another victory at No. 1 singles with a 7-6, 7-6 win against Moraine Valley. Reyes lost her match, 6-2, 6-0. Bone lost at No.3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
 
At doubles, Smith and Reyes were defeated by an 8-4 score.
 
The Chaps return to the courts on Tuesday when they play at College of Lake County.
