Alyssa Fountain keyed its attack against Madison College, throwing down 24 kills in a 3-1 victory over the WolfPack on Oct. 6.

The Chaps built a 2-0 lead, thanks to near-flawless hitting (32-9-68 — .338. attack percentage), but fought back in the final two sets in their 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 victory.

COD's dominant first set saw it breakaway after the set was tied at 8-8, and then in the second, COD scored the final five points of the set to seemingly take the match into complete control.

But Madison answered in the third, when it scored three straight points after a 19-19 tie and rode out the momentum for the win.

In the fourth, the set featured 10 ties — the last at 21-21 — before the Chaps rallied.

Fountain's night included the 24 kills, along with 22 digs and two service aces. Teammate
Chloey Myers added 18 kills with 19 digs.

On defense, COD struck with 92 digs to keep play continuing.
Cyd Martinez also had 20 digs and
Jaidyn Tan and
Payton Litney each had 11.

Abigail Alonzo led in aces with three.
