No. 2-ranked College of DuPage made a statement about its season-long success, taking out Division 2 No. 16 Rock Valley College 3-1 in Region 4 volleyball Tuesday night.

The Chaps improved to 24-2 overall with an impressive 25-16, 10-25, 25-13, 27-25 victory over the Golden Eagles.

"We rallied together and picked up a good road against a very good team,'' Chaps coach
Tolis Koskinaris said. "We forced them into some errors in the final two sets and fought it through.''

Alyssa Fountain and
Chloey Myers each had 13 kills, with Myers setting a season-high nine service aces in the four-set win.

The Chaps opened the match on a roll, firing off a .367 attack percentage in the opening set. After a difficult second set that evened the match, COD responded well. It forced RVC into nine attack errors in the third set and eight in the final set.

Payton Litney set up 14 assists and
Ashley Bylsma came off the bench and delivered 15 assists.

Fountain paced the Chaps on the defensive end with 17 digs and
Cyd Martinez had 10.
