Freshman Alyssa Havard led COD in scoring and rebounds in 31 minutes of play, but the visiting Chaparrals fell short 86-55 in Region 4 women's basketball Tuesday night.
 
The Chaps, now 1-6 overall, are off for the Thanksgiving break and return to the court Nov. 30 when they play at Southwestern Michigan College. Tipoff is 4:30 p.m. Central.
 
Havard scored 15 points with seven rebounds and teammates Mykah Berkompas and Sierra Gibson each scored 12.  Gibson secured three steals and Havard dealt three assists.
 
The Chaps fell behind early, trailing 26-9 through one period.
