Opening weekend
A free throw with 1.7 seconds left lifted host Oakton past the Chaps in a 63-62 loss on Nov. 3. The Chaps stormed back after trailing 34-18 at halftime, but just fell short.
Matt Elliott led COD with 17 points (6 of 15 FGs, 3 3s) and
Drew Gaston added 15 and
Gerald Tate 13. On Sunday night, the Chaps faced host Olivet Nazarene and lost, 101-87. Gaston scored 29 and Elliott followed with 20.
