Derome White scored a team-high 24 points along with seven steals to lead the Chaps, who trailed early in Tuesday's home game against Waubonsee and lost 99-72 in Region IV men's play.
 
COD, now 0-3 overall, plays at Richard Daley on Thursday night and returns to PEC Arena on Nov. 15 against Elgin.

Dane Boe earnd a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebound off the bench, and Kendell Cross and Drew Gaston each scored 10.
 
White hit 9 of 19 from the floor and drained four 3-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench.
 
Waubonsee had four players in double figures, led by Melo Garrick's 29.

Opening weekend
A free throw with 1.7 seconds left lifted host Oakton past the Chaps in a 63-62 loss on Nov. 3. The Chaps stormed back after trailing 34-18 at halftime, but just fell short. Matt Elliott led COD with 17 points (6 of 15 FGs, 3 3s) and Drew Gaston added 15 and Gerald Tate 13. On Sunday night, the Chaps faced host Olivet Nazarene and lost, 101-87. Gaston scored 29 and Elliott followed with 20.
