Division II Milwaukee Area TC pushed by the Chapparals on Saturday, using a 16-1 run to close the first half and win going away, 91-61 in N4C play.
 
Donnell Fraley and Drew Gaston each scored 15 points for COD, which closes the regular season Tuesday at home against Harper College.
 
The Chaps, who trailed throughout, got to within five points of the lead on a pair of Amaris Hughes free throws with 4:12 to go in the half, 35-30.
 
The Stormers, who are ranked 10^th in D2, gained control with its pivotal run down the stretch and led 51-31 at the break.
 
Abram Ross scored 13 and Kaashif Malik added 10 for the Chaps (6-16 overall).
 
Mason Johnson led the Stormers with 26 points and 16 rebounds. MATC shot 45.1 percent from th field and hit 22 of 24 free throws.
