The Chaparrals trailed early in Thursday night's game and never caught up in a 88-52 loss at Rock Valley in Region 4 women's basketball.
 
Mykah Berkompas led the Chaps (3-11 overall) with 20 points. It marked her fourth straight game scoring at least 20 points and her seventh on the season. She played all 40 minutes and scored four of her eight field goals from 3-point range.

She leads the team in scoring at 17.6 points per game.
 
Makenna Brown earned her eighth double-double this season, scoring 12 points with 13 rebounds. She averages 15.7 points and 13.4 rebounds a game.
 
Rock Valley led 21-7 through the first quarter and led 48-20 at the break. Kaiya Albert scored a game-high 20 points and Camron Blank added 22 as four players scored in double figures for the Golden Eagles.
 
COD's Marquita Gardner added eight points.
