Triton College, ranked No. 12 in NJCAA Division II, had its way with the Chaps on Monday afternoon, winning 10-1 and 11-3 in a doubleheader sweep that ended in five innings at Sark Park.
 
The Chaps, now 2-6 overall, are off until they host Gogebic (Mich.) on April 2.
 
Triton 10, Chaps 1

• Kelsey Warren collected two of COD's three hits and drove in its only run, an infield ground-out that brought in Alyssa Vansickle in the fifth
• Vansickle accounted for the Chaps' other hit, a leadoff single in the fifth
• Chloe Warren threw 4 1/3 innings
• The Trojans broke the game open with a five-run eighth

 
Triton 11, Chaps 3

• Vansickle had two of the Chaps' four hits
• Kelsey Warren and Elena Stevenson had the Chaps' other two hits
• Vincenza Zaccaro drove in Carlee Baker on a bases-loaded walk in the third
• Kayla Smiley drove in Kelsey Warren on a bases-loaded hit by pitch in the fifth
• Vansickle scored on a ground-out by Paige Jahaske in the fifth
• Stevenson had oen strikeout in her five innings on the mound
