Well-rounded play put the Chaps in control as they earned a sweep Sunday, defeating Gogebic (Mich.) 11-3 in six innings and Morton College 7-4 at Sark Park.

Chaparrals 11, Gogebic 3 6 innings
Trailing 3-1, the Chaps scored 10 unanswered runs and earned an eight-run rule victory. In the third,
Raquel Procopio dealt a two-run double, and she and
Amber Dasenbrock later scored on an infield error. Then in the fourth,
Elena Stevenson,
Vincenza Zaccaro and Dasenbrock drove in runs and COD led 8-3. Stevenson, Procopio and Dasenbrock each had three singles and Stevenson led in RBI with three. Dasenbrock struck out six in six innings and scattered six hits.

Chaparrals 7, Morton 4
A five-run fifth inning lifted the Chaps, who trailed 4-2, for the victory.
Kelsey Warren, who reached on a one-out single, came around to score on Stevenson's sac fly. The Chaps then scored four runs on two outs with
Paige Jahaske keying the inning with a two-run single. Stevenson, who had two doubles and two RBI led the Chaps at the plate with Procopio and Jahaske each with two hits.
Alyssa Vansickle and Zaccaro each had a double. On the mound, Stevenson struck out five in four innings and Dasenbrock struck out six in her three innings of work.
