Chaps win going away

The Chaparrals brought their four-game losing streak to an end in impressive fashion, sweeping host Milwaukee Area TC 9-6 and 18-8 in N4C and Region 4 softball Tuesday afternoon in Mequon, Wis.

COD, now 7-11 and 1-3 N4C, is off until Tuesday when it plays host to Joliet Junior College.

Game 1: Chaps 9, Stormers 6
  • COD manufactured two four-run innings — in the second and fifth to take command

  • Jahaske and Elena Stevenson later scored on an infield error
  • In the fifth, the Chaps added four runs on four hits and two errors — Elena Stevenson's three-run triple keyed the inning
