Jeremy Conforti delivered a dream game Wednesday afternoon, hitting three home runs and driving in five runs as the Chaparrals defeated visiting College of Lake County 15-11 in Region 4 baseball.

The victory ended the Chaps' five-game losing streak as they take their 15-9 recording into Thursday's home game against Kankakee (30-5). First pitch is 3 p.m.

Seth Borden did not allow a hit in his three innings and the Chaps afforded him a 10-3 lead.

Conforti broke the game open with a two-run deep over the left-field wall for a 5-3 lead in the second. He came up again in the third and delivered an absolute shot near the left-field scoreboard and COD pushed the lead to 10-3.

He then came through with his third homer on the day with direct liner, again over the left-field wall and COD led 11-5.

The Lancers climbed back, scoring five runs on five hits in the seventh and drew within two runs of the lead at 12-10.

But the Chaps answered back with a mini-rally, scoring three runs on no hits in the seventh and pushing the lead to 15-10.

COD totaled 10 hits and
David Marshall joined Conforti with multiple hits, going 2-for-3.
