Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Top-ranked College of DuPage earned a 2-1 record through the first round of play at the Blinn College Tourney in Brenham, Texas, on Friday.
 
COD went on to defeat D3 members North Lake (3-1) and Richland (3-1), pushing its season record to 15-1.
 
The Chaps complete the weekend Saturday taking on Brookhaven and Eastfield.
 
Blinn 3, Chaps 1
The Chaps, who are the top-ranked team in NJCAA D3, lost their first match of the season to the host school Thursday night. The Pirates, ranked No. 12 in NJCAA D1 (scholarship) won 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.
 
The Chaps, who hit just .168 (27-11-95), were led by Chloey Myers' 11 kills. Payton Litney dealt 16 assists, and Myers led in aces with two. Cydney Martinez earned 11 digs.
 
Chaps 3, North Hill 1
Down 1-0, the Chaps got back on track and earned the four-set victory (16-25,  25-9, 25-20,  25-23). Alyssa Fountain keyed the Chaps on the attack with 15 kills as the Chaps totaled 42 kills. Litney paced the Chaps with 35 assists and the team totaled 12 service aces (Fountain 4, Litney 3). The Chaps were sound on the defensive end with 77 digs. They were led by Myers and Martinez, who each had 14.
 
Chaps 3, Richland 1
Myers and Garcia each had eight kills and Litney added seven in the 25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-11 victory. Litney dealt 30 assists and Fountain led three players in double figures digs with 17. Myers had 13 and Martinez 12.
