Coach Jim Bowers
"We played a disciplined game in every match and we stuck to the strategy for the most part. The few points where we lose our focus gets us into a difficult spot. That's understandable for a young team. We'll continue to work at improving our mental game and build on our conditioning. We should be on the right track by improving for the remainder of the season. Emily has shown remarkable improvement from last year. Tyler built upon an aggressive baseline game to more of a consistent rally maker from the baseline. Sasha continues to work on her ground strokes and Ash is improving on baseline and volley play, and is working on becoming more patient in singles. In doubles, we were controlling points from the net, and added high defensive lobs when we were returning, but we're still making unforced errors with our serves and that hurts us."
