The College of DuPage women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Concordia University on Oct. 4 in Glen Ellyn.

With the match not counting toward the regional standings, head coach Jim Bowers used the opportunity to get his full lineup experience ahead of the NJCAA Region 4 tournament.

Manuela Sus won both her singles and doubles matches, teaming with Semra Jadadic for a doubles victory. Jadadic also competed at No. 1 singles, where she fell in a close match that ultimately decided the team outcome.

Sophia Boersma moved up to No. 5 singles and battled back after dropping the opening set 6-0. Boersma won the second set in a tiebreaker before taking the super tiebreaker to earn the point.

Nadine Gilbert and Aissietou Fall competed at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, gaining valuable match experience despite falling in both contests.

The Chaps will compete at the NJCAA Region 4 tournament Oct. 9-10 at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, with a spot at the NJCAA national tournament in May 2027 on the line.
