The Wolves, who entered play just 3-10, grabbed control early, thanks to an 18-3 run and led 28-9 with 10:47 left in the half. COD never got closer than 12 points and trailed 80-50 with 8 minutes left.

Joliet fired 53.6 percent from the floor (37 of 69) and was 10 of 21 on 3-pointers. Deavion Scales scored 30 points off the bench. Alex Vassilakis followed with 20 and Terrell Taylor 19.

"The lesson that we hopefully learned is that you got to be ready to play immediately. Usually when you take a punch, you can counter, but we never were able to get back into it. It was a good night for them, and a bad night for us. It's hard to get into a transition game when you're playing a ball-and-net game. We'll get past this and get ready for a tough Madison team Thursday.''
