The two-time defending NJCAA champion Chaparrals stepped inside the Track and Field Center at Gately Park in Chicago on Friday and Saturday and competed at the Aurora Grand Prix.

Highlighting the meet was freshman
Jack Sauder, who earned a Division I indoor and D3 outdoor qualifying pole vault height of 14 feet, 5 ¼ inches (4.4 meters) and placed fifth.

Earning D3 outdoor marks for the men were freshman sprinter
Noah Mack, who ran 23.03 seconds in the 200, sophomore All-American
Anthony Eddy in the 800 (2:02.54) and freshman shot putter Dustyn Kocsis (11.79 m / 38-8 1/4).

Mack also placed third in the 60 in 7.00 seconds after running a 6.99 time in the preliminaries.

For the women,
Patty Karpiesiuk and All-American
Paulina Stachura each met D3 standards in both the high jump and 400, while All-American
Lillian Buzani met the standard in both the 800 and 1500.

Karipiesiuk cleared 4-11 (1.5 m) and Stachura 4-9 (1.45). Buzani ran 2:34.42 in the 800 and her mile time of 5:41.69 converted to a qualifying time in the outdoor 1500.
