Sophomore quarterback Peyton O'Laughlin threw for all five of College of DuPage's touchdowns along with 267 passing yards as the No. 1 Chaparrals rolled past host Hocking 39-6 in NJCAA football Saturday afternoon.
 
The Chaps, now 8-1 overall, play host to Community Christian College of Detroit on Saturday. Kickoff at MacDougall Field is 3 p.m.
 
O'Laughlin finished the afternoon 12 of 19 passing with an interception. Three of the five tallies occurred in the second quarter.
 
COD broke through in the first quarter on a 42-yard pass-and-catch to Ty Carlson.
 
In the second, TD receptions to Willie Feagin (30 yards), Madixx Morris (9 yards) and Fabian Baez (17 yards) put the game on ice.
 
Kicker Christian Casillas ended the half with a 45-yard field goal and COD led 32-6. Casillas now has five FGs of 34 yards or more – better than any other kicker in the division.
 
COD added its final TD on a 15-yard reception to Deszmund White for the game's only second-half score.
 
This season, O'Laughlin has thrown for 1,284 yards, 13 TDs and is 80 of 128 passing (62.5 percent) with a 174 passing efficiency. He has been intercepted four times.
 
The Chaps were sound all day on defense. They created four interceptions by LB Kellon King, DBs Kamron Gothard, Andrew Ewald and DL Ayize Martin.
 
DB Isaac Martinez, DL Immanuel Williams and LB Marques Boddie forced fumbles with Martinez recovering two.
 
Hocking fell to 1-8.
