McHenry County defeated College of DuPage 8-1 in Region 4 women's tennis at the COD courts Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Chaps take on Elgin on Thursday.
 
Coach Jim Bowers says
"It was a great accomplishment for Adele to outplay a very strong opponent. Her improvement is so noticeable as Adele has put in the work.  It's a tangible result that she can see and understand. She is a skillful player and is persistent.
 
In doubles, Adele and Natalia went back and forth and were up 6-5. They know they must work on closing out matches and being aggressive the entire game; continuing to work on their strengths and weaknesses by closing in on the volleys and getting those lobs high and deep away from the net opponents.
