First-half play was all about the Chaparrals on Saturday, but visiting Kishwaukee overwhelmed the Chaps in the second half as they handed COD a 72-64 loss in Region 4 play.
 
COD, now 11-13 overall, plays at Milwaukee Area TC on Tuesday and is home Saturday against Sauk Valley.
 
The Chaps shot 58.8 percent from the field on 10 of 17 shooting in the first quarter as it led 28-15 after one. They led 43-32 at halftime.
 
But the Kougars took over in the final half, outscoring COD 40-21.
 
Alyssa Havard and Mykah Berkompas each scored 18 for the Chaps. Sierra Gibson and Korriana Wilson each scored 12.
