A 15-bat, 7^th inning paid off with nine runs as COD defeated visiting Moraine Valley 18-8 in 8 innings Friday afternoon in Region 4 play.
 
The Chaps, now 10-3 overall, host Waubonsee on Sunday in a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
 
Big Bats
A.J. Taylor led the way with a 4-for-5 effort (three singles and a double) and Joe Cosenza went 3-for-4 with a triple and two singles. The Chaps totaled 15 hits in 36 at-bats and are now hitting a collective .372, ranking 2^nd in NJCAA Division III play.
