Freshman RHP Josh Culbertson threw a 2-hit shutout with five strikeouts and did not issue a walk as the Chaparrals routed Danville Area CC 13-0 on Tuesday during their Spring Break trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
 
The Chaps (3-2 overall) are off today and play Wednesday against Rochester (Minn.) CTC.
 
COD had nine hits with four extra-base hits and took advantage of seven unearned runs for the victory.
 
David Marshall went 3-for-3 with an RBI-double, and A.J. Taylor and Kyle Fenner each drove in two runs.
