The Chaparrals totaled 35 runs, 36 hits and six home runs in their doubleheader sweep over host Harper in N4C and Region 4 softball Tuesday afternoon.
 
COD, now 19-7 overall and 6-0 in the N4C, is at home today against Morton College. First pitch is 3 p.m.
 
Game 1: Chaparrals 11, Harper 0 5 innings

• RHP Amber Dasenbrock led on the mound, striking out 10 and issuing just three hits in the shutout
• At the plate, Dasenbrock joined Raquel Procopio and Katlyn Allen with home runs
• COD struck with five runs in the first and dominated in its 13-hit attack
• Procopio drove in four runs with two hits
• Dasenbrock had three RBI and added a double on the game
• Lindsey Onnezi had two doubles with two RBI
• Kelsey Warren and Paige Jahaske each doubled
• Carlee Baker had a pair of singles and Kelsey Warren had three hits

 
Game 2: Chaparrals 24, Harper 7 5 innings

• COD totaled 23 hits, scoring 10 runs in the second and seven in the third
• Dasenbrock homered twice and Onnezi added one of her own
• 4 RBI games belonged to Jahaske, Dasenbrock and Chloe Warren
• Chloe Warren added a double and a triple
• Jahaske, Onnezi, Baker, Dasenbrock and Abby Collins all doubled
• Jahaske featured a 4-for-4 game
• Collecting three hits apiece were: Kelsey Warren, Onnezi, Chloe Warren and Dasenbrock
