Amber Dasenbrock's RBI triple in COD's 7-6 victory in the opener of Sunday's N4C doubleheader.

The Chaps earned a split on the day, losing 14-6 in seven innings.

COD (9-3 overall) is scheduled to play at Joliet on Tuesday in N4C play.

Game 1: Chaparrals 7, Madison 6
- Trailing 6-1, the Chaps got back into the game in fourth by scoring five runs
- Amber Dasenbrock connected on an RBI single
- Kelsey Warren followed and hit a 3-run triple to left
- Lindsey Onnezi then followed with a ground out to the pitcher, scoring Warren from third
- In the sixth, Dasenbrock delivered the go-ahead run on an RBI-triple
- Abby Colllins doubled twice and Onnezi also doubled
- Dasenbrock struck out four for the victory

Game 2: Madison 14, Chaparrals 6
- The Chaps, who trailed 6-5 through five, were outscored 8-1 in the final two innings
- Onnezi, Grace Walker and Sierra Gibson each doubled
- Onnezi and Carlee Baker led at the plate with two hits apiece
- LHP Chloe Warren struck out four in seven innings
