No. 10 COD built on its late-season surge Wednesday, winning for the 12^th time in last 13 games with a doubleheader sweep at Morton in Region 4 softball.
 
The Chaparrals (26-8 overall) make their final regular-season home appearance Thursday when they take on Moraine Valley. First pitch is 3 p.m. and the Chaps will honor Sophomore Day.

• A six-run fifth for the Chaps put them into control in earning the opener
• Lindsey Onnezi and Amber Dasenbrock each homered for the Chaps
• Dasenbrock totaled four RBI
• Carlee Baker, Paige Jahaske and Onnezi each drove in two runs

• Jahaske and Grace Walker each doubled
