The Chaparrals took on Moraine Valley in their season opener Thursday, losing 9-0.
COD is scheduled to play at College of Lake County on Tuesday.
Coach Jim Bowers:
"Adele was much improved in the second set, she played a more conservative style of play and that started to frustrate her hard-hitting opponent. She found the momentum to grab the second set and led in the super tiebreak. Adele and all of our players realize they can compete and are getting chances to win. We need to practice a bit more and will find a way to sustain a high level of play.''
