Peyton O'Laughlin threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as No. 1 College of DuPage earned a crucial NJCAA Division III road victory with a 24-21 win over No. 4 Rochester (Minn.) Community C&T on Saturday night.

The Chaps improved to 2-0 overall entering this Saturday's home opener against Hocking (Ohio), which is 1-1 overall after Saturday's 30-19 win over Community Christian.

O'Laughlin connected on a 60-yard scoring pass to freshman wide receiver
Madixx Morris to tie the game at 7-7 in the first. On that connection, Morris broke three tackles during his final 50 yards before reaching the end zone. O'Laughlin added his 1-yard plunge in the second to give COD a 14-7 lead.
In the third, O'Laughlin found sophomore wide-out
Amariyon Lynch-Gordon on a 30-yard TD and COD led 21-14

O'Laughlin finished 9 of 16 passing for 171 yards. On the ground,
Jamareon Dale led in rushing with 53 yards on six carries that included a 23-yarder gainer. Abita Fitz rushed for 37 yards and
Jaden McGill added 36 yards.

Christian Casillas added a field goal with a 35-yarder in the fourth quarter.
Defensively, defensive
Michael Gravely Jr. led the Chaps with 10 tackles that included eight solos.
Riley Dravet totaled seven tackles and added a 21-yard interception return along with three pass break-ups.

Mason Wojtas played a key role in pinning back the Yellowjackets. He averaged 39.9 yards on seven punts that included a 67-yarder from COD's 4-yard line.
