The scoreboard showed a 90-82 defeat for the Chaparrals in Thursday night's home game against fellow Region 4 opponent Bryant & Stratton.
 
College of DuPage, which trailed in its entirety against the Bobcats, climbed back after it trailed 82-56 with 7 minutes and 23 seconds remaining.
 
The Chaps achieved a 26-4 run but fell short.
 
Tylon Toliver led COD (13-10, 8-9 Region 4) with 16 points and Greg Strong followed with 15. Both John Gray III and Ben Zielinski scored 13.
 
The Chaps trailed by 26 (41-15) at the 6-minute mark of the first half as the Bobcats hit 11 3s in the half for a 50-30 halftime lead.
 
COD made its run thanks to six treys in that 7-minute span from six different players. Jayden Dean, Strong and Toliver each scored five points in the stretch.
 
The Chaps totaled 14 3s and were 30 of 67 from the floor.
 
Toliver led in assists (five) and rebounds (nine), and Zielinski had four steals.
 
The Chaps are at home Tuesday night against Harper in a rescheduled game. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
