Justin Bland threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, but host and Division I Iowa Central got the upper-hand in the second half and defeated Division III No. 1-ranked College of DuPage 35-30 in NJCAA football Saturday afternoon.

The loss snapped COD's 13-game winning streak dating to last year when the Tritons defeated COD at MacDougall Field.
Linebacker
Cole Dutkovich keyed COD's defense with a pair of interceptions, including his first that was returned 20 yards. He also had five solo tackles.Â
Ty Murrell also had five solos, while
Mason Montgomery totaled seven tackles (five solo) with one sack (12 yards), one fumble recovery and one pass break-up.

COD (6-1 overall) enjoys its bye-weekend and returns to play Oct. 19 when it takes on visiting Hocking. Kickoff is 1 p.m.

Bland finished 19 of 38 through the air and connected on a pair of TDs with wide receiver
Clayton Bone.
