Greg Strong led COD with 22 points — his third straight 20-point plus game — and reserve John Gray III scored 12, but host Rock Valley was too strong and the Golden Eagles handed the Chapparals an 86-74 loss in Region 4 men's basketball Tuesday night.
 
The Chaps (15-12, 10-11 Region 4) are at No. 8 Milwaukee Area TC on Thursday night.
 
RVC grabbed the lead for good just three minutes into the game and led 47-31 at halftime.
 
COD got as close as nine points of the lead in the second half after Tylon Toliver's 3-pointer capped a 17-6 run and cut RVC's lead to 65-56 with 8:32 left.
 
Both Toliver and Braylen Meredith scored 11 for COD.
