College of DuPage utilized its depth Tuesday night, playing all 17 Chaps in their 3-1 victory over visiting South Suburban in Region 4 volleyball.
 
COD snapped its two-match losing streak and takes an 8-4 overall record and 5-0 Region 4 record into Thursday night's match at Waubonsee (1-5).
 
The Chaps earned a 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18 victory over the Bulldogs. Down 7-5 in the opener, COD strung a 7-0 run to take command and pushed the lead to as many as nine at 22-12.
 
In the second, COD broke away from a 6-6 tie and grabbed the lead for good building a 15-8 lead.
 
A three-set sweep looked probable when COD jumped out front 19-12 in the third. The Bulldogs did not go away quietly, fighting back with an impressive 10-1 run for a 22-20 lead.
 
COD pushed aside any hope of a five-set night, breaking away from a 17-17 tie in the fourth and closing on an 8-1 run.
 
Freshman Skylar Huffman led in kills with eight and Josephine Becker followed with seven.
 
Setter Ava Diaz led with 34 assists, and COD totaled 20 service aces, led by freshman Francesca Brandonisio's eight and Rory Geroux's six.
 
Brandonisio led in digs (19) and Geroux 14 and Huffman 10.
