Sophomores Braylen Meredith and Greg Strong each scored 24 points and Adyn McGinley added 15 as College of DuPage broke free from visiting Olivet Nazarene Junior Varsity in the first half and rolled to a 92-70 win Thursday night at PEC Arena.
 
The Chaps (12-5 overall, 6-5 Region 4) are at Olive-Harvey (5-12, 4-8) on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.
 
The victory marked Chaps' head coach Joe Kuhn's 600^th career victory. His career includes 25 seasons at Joliet Junior College, three seasons at COD, and three seasons leading the Rich East HS program (1994-97).
 
"Victories are a direct result of good players and good assistant coaches,'' said Kuhn about the landmark victory. "It's been an enjoyable ride by building and making teams better.''
 
COD earned the lead for good after trailing 18-12 with 11:46 left in the first half. Strong's 3-pointer began the Chaps' momentum edge toward their 47-40 lead at halftime.
 
Strong scored 16 and Meredith 13 in the first half.
 
The Tigers never got closer than four points of the lead in the second half as COD led by as many as 22 with 2:19 to go.
 
Strong was 7-of-10 from the field with four 3s and 6-of-7 from the line. Meredith was 9-of-14 with two 3s and 4-of-4 from the line.
 
McGinley added a team-high five assists as COD totaled 23 for the game on 35 field goals.
 
COD held a decisive 41-29 edge on rebounds with Strong leading with seven. He also had three steals.
 
"Greg was a monster with one of the best all-round games I've seen in a long time,'' Kuhn said. "The final 30 minutes, we had intensity on both sides of the ball and our ball movement was phenomenal.''
