Second half leads to Chaps' victory

The Chaparrals climbed back in the second half against host Wilbur Wright, overcoming a nine-point deficit in their 75-69 win in Region 4 play.
 
COD (15-5, 9-5 Region 4) had its Tuesday night game against Madison canceled due to weather. The Chaps play Thursday night at Bryant and Stratton (15-4, 10-0). The game against Madison will be played Feb. 20.
 
Wilbur Wright led 55-46 in the second half before the Chaps answered with a game-ending 29-14 run in the final 10 minutes.
 
Braylen Meredith led the Chaps with 20 points, 12 in the second half. Four others scored in double figures: Greg Strong (14), Ben Zielinski (12), Terrence Spencer (12) and Adyn McGinley (10).
 
The Chaps dominated inside, hitting 24 of 40 (60 percent) from inside the 3-point stripe.
