Road unkind at Bryant and Stratton

Terence Spencer led COD with 19 points and Charles Farrell followed with 14 but it wasn't enough as the Chaps were handed an 81-70 loss at Bryant and Stratton in Region 4 men's play Thursday night.

Greg Strong joined Spencer and Farrell in double figures with 12 as COD had its five-game winning streak snapped.

The Chaps dropped to 15-6 overall and 9-6 Region 4. They are at Joliet on Thursday and return home Saturday against Kishwaukee.

It was an even-played game through much of the night, despite COD trailing at halftime, 43-30. The difference was at the free throw line with the host Bobcats outscoring COD, 22-7.

The Chaps climbed back from halftime and pulled to within one possession of the lead with five minutes to go before Bryant and Stratton resumed its edge.

Freshman guard Adyn McGinley dealt 13 assists with four rebounds, three steals and two blocks. He finished with two points.

Both Ben Zielinski and Braylen Meredith scored eight.
