The College of DuPage football team hosted Iowa Central Community College at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on Oct. 11, falling to the Tritons 49-13.
Ty Carlson led the Chaps' offensive effort with 136 receiving yards on five catches.
AJ Moore led the DuPage ground game with 76 yards and 6.9 yards per carry. Quarterback
Justin Bland had an efficient day through the air, completing 15 of 21 passes for 212 yards. Bland also added a touchdown pass to
Daion Gaston.
In the kicking game,
Danny Duray, the NJCAA Division III Special Teams Player of the Week, connected on two deep field goals from 47 yards and a career-long 52 yards.
Defensively, bright spots for the Chaps included interceptions by
Sal Laudicina,
Marquivio Ballard and
Jaiden Vonner. On the defensive front,
Casey Bending added two sacks to bring his season total to 10.5.
Jamari Jefferson also recorded a sack, and
Cole Hamilton paced DuPage with six tackles.
DuPage will travel to Hocking College for a rematch against the Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Hocking College Field in Nelsonville, Ohio.
