The College of DuPage women's volleyball team welcomed rival Joliet Junior College to the PEC Arena on Oct. 16. The Chaps earned a sweep, sending the Wolves home with a 3-0 result (26-24, 26-24, 25-19). DuPage completed a season sweep in their third match versus JJC, totaling 12 sets wins to just one loss.
Offensively,
Alyza Grubich provided a steady presence in the passing game for DuPage, tallying 15 assists, while
Jaime Volz added 10. The Chaps' attack was balanced, with
Megan Daca leading the way with 8 kills.
Sami Hornbogen recorded 5 kills, while
Cailen Sadkowski and
Claire Rambasek each added four.
Frankie Brandonisio registered 5 service aces, while
Jamie Loftus and
Ava Diaz each contributed two.
Defensively, Brandonisio logged her usual double-digit performance with 17 digs, and Rambasek added 11. Daca recorded 4 block assists, and
Ella Petruczenko added three.
DuPage improved to 20-11 on the season. It marks the fifth consecutive and sixth overall 20-win campaign for the Chaparrals since 2016.
The Chaps return to action Oct. 22 when they travel to Triton College in River Grove, Illinois.
