The Chaps trailed 39-29 early in the second half and rallied with an 11-1 run to tie the game at 40-40 on a Farrell tip-in just inside 16 minutes to go.

Madison answered back and led 59-50 at 9:37, but again COD fought back and tied the game at 60-60 after a 10-1 run when  Strong hit a 3-pointer with 6:55 left.

COD produced its final run of the night that began on a pair of Meredith free throws. Zielinski added a three and Meredith drove inside and COD led 67-63 at 3:21.

Zielinski later added a free throw and Meredith finished the spurt with a layup and COD extended its lead to 70-63 with 2:36 left.

COD, which shot 49 percent from the field, hit 18 of 29 shots (62 percent) in the second half.
