The Chaparrals earned their 20
th win in a season for the first time in program history, earning a 3-1 victory over host Concordia (Wis.) JV on Tuesday in men's volleyball.
COD (20-2 overall) closes the regular season Friday night at Trinity Christian. First serve is 7 p.m.
The victory (25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18) was earned on a 50-kill match. COD hit .234 (50 kills, 21 errors, 124 attacks) and walked away with an impressive .464 effort in the final set.
Freshman
Braeden Zant led in kills with 17 and fellow freshman
Adam Janowiak followed with 11.
Justus Barbel added eight.
Sophomore setter
Nathan Perez led in assists with 33 as eight Chaps earned at least one assist.
Zant had two of the Chaps' five service aces.
Defensively, COD totaled 43 digs with Perez at the top with 11.
Ben Hoover hand nine and Zant six.
On the block,
Brayden Tejeda had two solo blocks and Perez earned the other. Barbel led in block assist with two.
NOTE: COD's previous high in team victories was eight, accomplished in both 2023 and 2024.
