The Chaparrals didn't waste any time in Thursday night's match at Judson JV, ripping a decisive 3-0 victory in men's volleyball.
COD snapped its two-match losing streak and improved to 15-2 overall after the 25-10, 26-24, 25-20 victory.
The Chaps next play at North Park on Tuesday night. They are at Aurora on Wednesday and home Friday in their Sophomore Night match against Region 4 foe Bryant and Stratton (7-9 overall).
COD hit .300 (29 kills, 8 errors, 70 attacks) with
Justus Barbel leading the way with eight kills, two service aces, and a dig.
The Chaps came out hot in the opener, hitting .583 on the strength of seven kills and no errors in 12 attacks.
After a tight second-set victory, COD clubbed 15 kills in the third and closing set.
Braeden Zant had seven kills with two solo blocks.
Brayden Tejeda had three kills, one ace, two solos, and three block assists.
Setter
Nathan Perez led in assists with 19 along with four digs. COD had 30 digs for the match.
Adam Janowiak also had four digs.
