For the second straight contest to open the 2025 season, the DuPage Men's Soccer team went on the road and earned another hard fought victory on Thursday afternoon. This time the Chaps traveled to DeKalb to take on Kishwaukee College and came away with 2-1 win to raise their record to 2-0 on the season.
Erik Crisotomo got the scoring started for the Chaps with a goal just under 18 minutes into the contest to give DuPage a 1-0 lead that they took into halftime.
Alan Osorio added a goal with an assist from
Luis Gutierrez 7 minutes into the second half that gave the Chaps a 2-0 lead.
Kishwaukee tallied a goal with 11 minutes left to cut the Chaps lead in half but DuPage eventually held on for the victory. Goalkeeper
Sam Eaton made his season debut and got the win in goal for the Chaps.
After the game, Coach
Matt Hanna stressed the team effort on the defensive side. " It was a strong defensive effort by the whole group. We are really happy to see us build that defensive resilience and continue to build toward a complete performance."
The Chaps will get their next chance to build toward that complete performance on Saturday afternoon, Aug 30 as they open the home portion of their 2025 campaign with a match against Daley College. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
