Another day, another thrilling game for COD Men's Soccer.
In a back and forth contest,
Jason Hufnagle scored his second goal of the game with 6 minutes left to lift the Chaps to a 4-3 victory over Daley College on Saturday afternoon at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on the COD Campus. The win keeps COD's undefeated record in tact at 3-0 on the young season, with all three wins coming by one goal.Â
Hufnagle started the scoring for the Chaps, scoring 4 minutes into the contest on an assist from Dom Landato for a 1-0 lead.
Erik Crisostomo added a goal 5 minutes later for a 2-0 lead with an assist from Hufnagle.
Daley responded with a goal two minutes later to cut the deficit in half at 2-1. That was the score that the teams took into the half.Â
After Daley tied the score with 28 minutes to go,
Beckham Cournaya gave the the Chaps a 3-2 lead on yet another assist from Landato. The lead was short lived however as Daley came back with the equalizer 4 minutes later to tie the game at 3 with 20 minutes left. That set the stage for Hufnagle's heroics that was set up with an assist by
Luis Gutierrez.Â
The Chaps will put their undefeated record on the line on Wednesday afternoon as they host Harper College in the first game of a Men's and Women's soccer doubleheader at COD. The start time for the mens game is scheduled for 12 noon.Â
