The College of DuPage women's volleyball team closed out the Blinn College Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 20, in Brenham, Texas finishing the final day of play with a 1-1 record.
The Chaps opened the day with a sweep over Dallas College Richland, winning 25-11, 25-21, 25-21. COD hit .367 as a team, led by
Claire Rambasek with 13 kills.
Isabella Furmanski added 8 kills and a solo block. Defensively,
Jamie Loftus and
Frankie Brandonisio each recorded 7 digs, while Rambasek chipped in 8.
In their second match, the Chaps battled Division I Lee College. COD took the opening set 26-24 but ultimately dropped the match 3-1. Furmanski paced the offense with 8 kills, while Rambasek and
Lexie Hornbogen each tallied 6. Brandonisio contributed 3 service aces.

Tolis Koskinaris praised his team's effort, noting, "Overall positive day beating D3 Dallas Richland and competing against D1 Lee College. We finished our Texas roadshow playing some of our best volleyball this season. Huge performances from

COD finished the Texas trip with an impressive 3-2 record and will return home to host Kankakee Community College on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. in Glen Ellyn.
