The College of DuPage men's basketball team traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, to take on the Wolfpack of Madison College on Jan 22. The Chaparrals battled and the kept the game close early, but a barrage of three-pointers helped Madison take a 46-25 lead into halftime. DuPage ultimately fell 86-58, dropping its record to 12-7 on the season.
DuPage opened the game in an early 8-0 hole but responded with a strong run to pull within one point at 22-21 with 7:33 remaining in the first half after
Amari Ford converted three consecutive free throws. Madison College answered with a surge to close the half and extend its lead.
Ethan Howard led the Chaparrals offensively, scoring 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field.
Logan Glover added 12 points, connecting on five of nine shots, while Ford finished with 11 points.
The Chaparrals will travel to Rockford, Illinois, on Jan. 27 to face Rock Valley College at 7 p.m. DuPage defeated the Golden Eagles 86-75 last season in Glen Ellyn but has not recorded a win in Rockford this decade.
