The College of DuPage men's basketball team traveled to Bourbonnais on Jan. 29 to take on the JV squad of Olivet Nazarene University. DuPage wasted no time building separation, jumping out to a 37–21 lead at the half and carrying that momentum into a 47-point second half to top the Tigers 84–48 for the second time this season. With the win, the Chaps improved to 13–8 on the year.
Amari Ford (5-for-8 shooting) and Vuk Zogovich (5-for-9 shooting) led DuPage in scoring with 12 points apiece. Payton Moore added nine points, while Kaden McGee and Nate Fisher each contributed eight. Logan Glover, Cameron Chandler, and JJ Hernandez rounded out the balanced scoring effort with seven points each.
The Chaps' offensive success was fueled by unselfish ball movement. Adyn McGinley led the way with eight assists, while Ethan Howard and Hernandez each dished out five.
DuPage also turned in a strong performance on the defensive end. Moore, Hernandez, and McGinley each recorded two steals, while Ford led the team with three. Terrell Morton protected the rim with two blocks, and McGinley and Ford each pulled down eight defensive rebounds.
The Chaps will return to action on Jan. 31 at home in Glen Ellyn against Black Hawk Technical College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
