Chaps outpace Falcons at home 96-73

The College of DuPage men's basketball team hosted Truman College on Feb. 14 in Glen Ellyn, delivering one of its most complete performances of the season.

The Chaparrals jumped out to a convincing 14-point lead at halftime and continued to push the pace in the second half, finishing near a season-high 96 points against NJCAA competition. The final score was 96–73 in favor of the Chaps.

Several Chaparrals turned in standout performances against the Falcons.

Amari Ford led the scoring effort with 24 points, his second-highest output of the season. Ford was highly efficient, connecting on 10-of-14 shots while adding three assists, nine rebounds, and a steal in a well-rounded performance.

Logan Glover also delivered an efficient outing, shooting 6-of-8 from the field on his way to 19 points. He contributed across the stat sheet with seven rebounds and four assists.

Adyn McGinley added 15 points, along with four assists and four steals, helping fuel the Chaparrals' defensive intensity.

Cameron Chandler recorded a season-high 12 points and secured five rebounds, while Payton Moore knocked down three of his four attempts from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points and two steals.

Head coach Joe Kuhn credited his team's defensive effort following the win.

"We were pretty dominant defensively. We missed a lot of free throws, but we made them in the second half and I thought we really played overall pretty well."

When speaking on his team's top performers, Kuhn added:

"They were tremendous, and I thought Cameron Chandler had a nice game too. Our guys up front played well, so I was happy for that and happy for them. Hopefully we can keep building next week."

The Chaps return to action on Feb. 17, hosting South Suburban College at 7 p.m. inside PEC Arena. Sophomores will be recognized pregame in the team's final home contest of the season.
