The undefeated and No. 1-ranked College of DuPage men's volleyball team continued its dominant start to the season on Feb. 13, sweeping Calumet College of St. Joseph in straight sets (25–23, 25–19, 25–19) to remain unbeaten.
Adam Janowiak led the Chaps' attack with 10 kills. Brayden Tejeda added seven kills, while Danny Overlin and Lance Mueller each contributed five. Max McDermott directed the offense efficiently, totaling 23 assists in the win. From the service line, Robert Witeck, Matthew Pemberton and Coady Seidler each recorded an ace.
Defensively, Nicholas Ockrim paced the Chaps with 13 digs, while Seidler added six. At the net, Janowiak and Overlin each finished with a solo block. McDermott and Adam Sanchez recorded two block assists apiece, helping slow the Crimson Wave attack.
The Chaps will travel to Palos Heights on Feb. 17 for a rematch with the Trolls of Trinity Christian College. DuPage previously swept Trinity Christian on Feb. 3 at home in Glen Ellyn. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
