COD Finishes Second in 2025-26 Ron Case Cup Standings

College of DuPage Athletics earned a second-place finish in the final standings of the 2025-26 Ron Case Cup, recognizing the nation's top-performing two-year college athletic departments.

The runner-up finish marks the Chaparrals' 11th top-three finish in program history and continues College of DuPage's tradition of excellence on the national stage.

The Ron Case Cup is a national competition conducted by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) that honors the top-performing two-year college athletic departments in the country. Points are awarded based on team finishes at NJCAA National Championship events, with national champions receiving 20 points, runners-up receiving 19 points, third-place finishers receiving 18 points, and so on. Institutions may count the results of their top five men's sports and top five women's sports toward their final total.

The Chaparrals accumulated 167.5 points during the 2025-26 academic year, highlighted by NJCAA national championships in football, women's cross country, men's track and field, women's track and field, and women's golf.

"Finishing second in the Ron Case Cup is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, coaches and staff throughout the year," Director of Athletics and Recreation Ryan Kaiser said. "To compete among the nation's best two-year athletic programs year after year speaks to the culture of excellence that exists at College of DuPage. We are incredibly proud of what our Chaparrals accomplished during the 2025-26 season."

The Ron Case Cup standings cap another memorable year for the Chaparrals, who continued their success across multiple sports and further cemented College of DuPage's reputation as one of the premier athletic programs in the NJCAA.

NATYCAA is the only professional organization representing athletic programs at two-year institutions of higher education across the United States.
