The College of DuPage women's volleyball team earned its third and fourth consecutive victories on Aug. 26 and 27, improving to 5-2 on the season.
The Chaps defeated Joliet Junior College in a sweep on Aug. 26 (25-15, 25-8, 25-12) before earning another sweep Aug. 27 in Janesville, Wisconsin, against UW-Whitewater Rock County (25-18, 25-20, 30-28).
The victories marked the third consecutive sweep for the Chaps, who have now won 12 straight sets dating back to their reserve sweep of Minnesota West on Aug. 22.
Against JJC, Claire Rambasek recorded 12 kills and posted a .579 hitting percentage. Zoey Aldarondo added seven kills and 11 digs, while Cailen Sadkowski contributed five kills. Addisyn Gardner directed the passing game with 14 assists and also contributed defensively with nine digs. Laila Lawson led the Chaps with three blocks.
Against Rock County, the Chaps received another strong hitting performance from Jamie Loftus, who hit .400 while recording eight kills. Rambasek added nine kills and six digs, while Isabella Furmanski contributed seven kills. Gardner again led the Chaps' passing attack with 14 assists, while Amirah Harrington added 11. Lawson recorded two solo blocks, while Amani Harrington continued to be a weapon behind the service line with five aces.
DuPage will travel to Harper College on Aug. 28 to battle the Hawks at 6 p.m.
