The College of DuPage football team fell 25-24 to LEAD Prep on Sept. 5 in Brighton, Mich.
The contest was tied 7-7 after the first quarter before DuPage took a 10-7 advantage at the halftime break. DuPage outscored the Panthers 14-7 in the third quarter to take a 24-14 lead, but LEAD Prep scored the only points of the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
Damari Jones led the DuPage rushing attack with 11 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns, while Gavin Sanders added 71 yards on 11 carries.
Reed Myers threw a touchdown pass, with Tre Olive recording three receptions for 65 yards.
Defensively, Chris Ellen recorded an interception, while Zion Taala finished with a sack and two tackles for loss.
Max Weber added a 47-yard field goal for the Chaps.
DuPage falls to 2-1 on the season and will return to action Sept. 12 when the Chaps travel to Hocking College for a noon kickoff.
DuPage has won all 12 meetings in the series, including a 29-23 victory over Hocking in October 2025.
