On a blustery Monday afternoon, the Chaparrals opened their men's tennis season in a 7-2 loss at Moraine Valley College.
 
At No. 1 singles, sophomore Avik Majmudar set the tone for the Chaps in a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Louis Hara competed at No. 2 singles and was dealt a 6-0, 6-0 defeat.  Martin Kaynakchiev lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. The Chaps were short-handed in the remainder of their singles matches.
 
Majmudar and Hara were victorious at No. 1 doubles, 8-5.
 
The Chaps play host to College of Lake County on Tuesday. First serve is 3 p.m.
